Governance & Leadership

Board & Management

The Afro-Asian Prosperity Forum is governed by a Board of Trustees and administered day to day by its Management Team.

Board of Trustees

The Board

The Board sets the Forum's direction, safeguards its governance and represents a top-tier Afro-Asian consortium of investors, industry and institutions at the highest level.

Office of the Chairman

Kofi Owusu-Acheaw

Kofi Owusu-Acheaw chairs the Afro-Asian Prosperity Forum, convening a top-tier consortium of investors, industry and institutions across Africa and Asia. A pan-African industrialist and economist, and Founder and Managing Partner of Semper, KOACH & O, he brings to the chair two decades of operating command and a conviction that the Africa-Asia corridor is this century's defining growth axis, one to be built on real industry, disciplined capital and durable partnership rather than aid.

Through Semper, KOACH & O, his strategy and advisory firm, he practises market-system development, aligning Asian manufacturing capacity and international capital with African enterprise to create businesses that last. That practice is grounded in a portfolio he has founded, chaired and advised: the Fortis Sentinel Group in AI and defence capability, private credit and trade-payments infrastructure, extractives, energy and national food security. He has led a workforce of more than 1,300, coordinated a billion-dollar smart-city programme, and built enterprises across the extractives, finance and infrastructure value chains.

He holds a master's degree in Economic Policy Management, majoring in monetary economics, and is a beneficiary of the University of Cape Town's Leaders in Extractives and Africa Development programme. Under his chairmanship the Forum holds every mandate to a single benchmark: future-fit, inclusive and built for sustainable stakeholder return.
